Complimentary distance learning proposals for teachers and students
Fondazione Golinelli launches Digital Kit for School, a program of free STEAM activities that teachers can offer to students, in the classroom or remotely, enhancing the potential of digital learning. The aim of the initiative - in a particularly complex period for the school world - is to offer continuous and remote educational support with ideas and materials suitable for classroom activity or an integrated teaching path in the classroom, online or completely remotely. This support offers the opportunity for teachers from all over Italy, regardless of their geographical distance from Opificio Golinelli, to discover and experience the Foundation's approach and materials and, if they wish, get in touch with its experts.
The Digital Kit allows you to access a first level of use in which to download in-depth materials for use in the classroom. For more advanced support it is also possible to enroll for free at a second level that allows you to become part of a virtual community, interact with trainers and experts, receive further insights and the certificate of the activities carried out with students. Among the resources available and always with a view to supporting schools free of charge, the digital kit also offers the possibility to enjoy a selection of webinars of particular interest to stu-dents and teachers.
The educational objective of the proposed contents is to further explore the scientific and thera-peutic developments related to the biology of animal, embryonic and adult stem cells, and isola-tion techniques, thanks to the meeting with scientists and researchers experts on the subject.
Suggestions on how to deal with the themes of genetics and biology with students through the modern approach of bioinformatics: the tools will allow the analysis and comparison of genetic sequences, the vision of 3D molecular models and the use of online databases to carry out evo-lutionary analysis.
The material allows to further explore and experiment the mechanisms of evolution and genetic variability enhancing the use of phylogenetic trees as an experiential teaching tool.
The materials allow you to discover how to use Khan Academy resources to customize the study of mathematics in primary and secondary school, with activities to be carried out in the classroom and remotely, enhancing digital tools.
